Senator John Fetterman Treated for Bruised Shoulder After Car Accident

Fetterman, Who Suffered a Stroke Last Year, Is Recovering and Expected to Make a Full Recovery

The Democrat from Pennsylvania Was Involved in a Car Accident on Sunday

U.S. Senator John Fetterman was treated at a hospital for a bruised shoulder after a car accident on Sunday. Fetterman, a 53-year-old Democrat from Pennsylvania, suffered a near-fatal stroke last May and went on to win a seat in the U.S. Senate in November.

Fetterman's office said in a statement that he was involved in a car accident on Sunday evening in Washington, D.C. He was taken to a hospital for treatment and was released on Monday.

"The Senator is doing well and is expected to make a full recovery," his office said.

Fetterman has been using a wheelchair and assistive technology since suffering a stroke in May. He has been gradually returning to work in the Senate and has been attending committee hearings and other events.

The car accident is the latest setback for Fetterman, who has faced health challenges since suffering the stroke. However, his office said that he is "in good spirits" and is "looking forward to getting back to work."
